Woodworking and more

Gnome on a Mushroom
Adorable gnome sitting on a mushroom hand carved from solid Cedarwood.

Cardinal on Cedar Branch
Hand carved and hand painted cardinal standing on a cedar log. This was my attempt at carving birds. There were a number of lessons learned during this project but most importantly, I learned that I absolutely love carving!
SandPipper
This Sandpiper was an absolute joy to make. A custom order, the sandpiper was hand carved from solid Basswood and sits on a bed of sand on a solid walnut base. It also features a real starfish.

Sea Otters
A longtime friend recommended I make sea otters. I attempted this carve not knowing what to expect. Although this carve was time consuming and challenging, seeing it begin to come together and then seeing the final product I was overjoyed with the results.
This carve features three seperate carved items. Momma otter, Baby otter, and the stone seafloor. The shells and stones really bring this carving together.
Bald Eagle
When I was asked to make this bald eagle, i became excited beyond words (and fairly intimidated). It is carved entirely out of one solid piece of Walnut and features glass eyes (my first attempt using glass eyes).
